HOW ARE COACHING SESSIONS CONDUCTED?

Coaching sessions are typically one hour in length, scheduled at regular intervals-usually commencing once a week. Most sessions are conducted over the phone, enabling not only great convenience and flexibility for scheduling, but also, by diminishing visual distractions, client's responses are often more pure and unencumbered. Phone calls are placed from this end so that you will not incur any long distance charges.

For those who would prefer in-person sessions, these can be arranged at our coaching studio facility in Uxbridge, or by alternate arrangements, and may incur a subsequent fee.

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO BE COACHED?

Being coached is much like learning a new language or exercising a muscle-results are achieved over a period of time because it often requires time to process mind (or body) shifts, or just to navigate a tier of steps to reach a specific goal.

Depending on the complexity of each individual situation, the duration of the coaching process may take a number of weeks, months, or depending on the goal, even longer. For instance, if you are wishing to act on a dream to start your own business, or actualize a special project, perhaps publishing a book, then the coaching process will be quite involved in the initial stages, and then can be modified to a maintenance schedule on a bi-monthly or monthly basis to preserve achieved success and thwart derailment.

Other situations may just require tweaking a new perspective on how to approach something, or become unstuck. After the shift takes place, the work is done and may not require a maintenance schedule at all. Each case is unique.

HOW LONG IS MY INITIAL COACHING COMMITMENT?

Notwithstanding simple decision-making goals, it is common to anticipate between one and three months to gain a substantial indication of progress. This, of course will be highly dependant on the commitment to yourself and how effectively and aggressively you work at the tasks at hand. Coaching is not about someone solving your problems by just telling you what to do, but instead, it is about helping you to explore your own solutions, while supporting you through the process. This is extremely powerful and effective, and can provide you with lasting life skills.

WHAT AM I EXPECTED TO DO BETWEEN SESSIONS?

That's up to you. We will decide how much you can handle between sessions to ensure that you are not overwhelmed with a burden of tasks that can't be assimilated into your schedule. Having said that, your willingness to do between-session assignments will not only give you the advantage of covering more ground in a shorter period of time, but will also keep you actively engaged in pursuing your goals, and expand the energy you are spending on them. That's a bonus! We will discuss what you feel works best for you - it is part of the co-creative process of designing your coaching program to conform to your needs.
